Physicians Dialysis participated once again in the Miami Kidney Walk, with interdisciplinary team members, patients, family members and significant friends joining together to raise awareness and funds for the cause. It was a beautiful, sunny Miami day at Bayfront Park. The water glistened on the bay and the excitement was palpable as the speakers joined the walkers in front of the stage to begin the walk. Old and young, healthy and walking with canes and in wheelchairs, everyone had a great time together for this worthy cause. At Physicians Dialysis we are always proud to be active participants in Kidney Community activities!
The National Kidney Foundation’s Kidney Walk is a non-competitive walk focusing on education and prevention of kidney and urinary tract diseases, and awareness of the need for organ donation. The Kidney Walk presents an occasion for dialysis patients, organ transplant recipients, donor families, the medical and business communities, and the general public to celebrate life and create lasting community advocacy and long-term support for the foundation’s mission.
While raising funds for the National Kidney Foundation’s programs and services, Kidney Walk provides an opportunity for family, friends and colleagues to participate in an inspiring, community-based event.
